Tommy beats Kohlschreiber in Munich and catches his 14th title!

At the age of 35, Tommy captured his 14th ATP World Tour trophy at the BMW Open in Munich. He beats defending champion Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3, 7-6(3) in an all-German final. Tommy will rise to World No. 13 in the ATP Rankings.
Tommy earned 250 ATP Ranking points, 74,000 Euro in prize money and a brand new white BMW Z4 sDrive 28i.

“It's a sensational feeling to be quite honest,” said Haas. “It was another one of those milestones that I hoped for, to maybe win this title one year. To have done that, this late in my career, is a big highlight for me. Every time you win a title, it's a reflection of putting everything together the whole week. It doesn't happen that often. You're really proud of those moments.”

In the first all-German final in Munich since 1965 Haas held off a late fightback from Kohlschreiber to claim the victory in 83 minutes. “I knew it was going to be tough,” said Tommy. “He's played well here before and was looking for his third crown and it was maybe my last opportunity to win the title here. So I gave myself a little bit of extra pressure.”

Hamburg native Tommy lifted a trophy on home soil for the fourth time. Since few weeks Tommy is showing stunning performances, his win over World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and now the title in Munich are other milestones in his career.  Tommy also presented his new Sponsor-Partners Gauselmann Die Spielemacher and Champions Porsche, who completed a successful partnership with our German Number 1.
