14.12.2012 | Tommy beats Djokovic at Sir Richard Branson´s Charity Event.
Tommy Haas finished his pre-Christman tour with a win over the Serbian No.1 Novak Djokovic. "With the match against Roger Federer in Sao Paulo and Novak Djokovic, I have finished my preparation for the next season. Now, I am looking forward to have some silent holidays with my family in Los Angeles. My next match will be at the Hopman Cup in Perth, where I represent Germany together with Andrea Petkovic." Together with Djokovic, John McEnroe and the Bryan Brothers, Tommy helped to raise 500,000 USD for Charity.
11-05-2012 | Tommy wins ATP World Tour Award for Comeback of the Year!
In honor of his outstanding season Tommy receives the 2012 ATP World Tour Award "Comeback Player of the Year"! Tommy rolled back the years as he re-established himself in the Top 25. Coming from outside the Top 200, he finished the year ranked No. 20 in the world! Tommy had been sidelined for 14 months between February 2010 and May 2011 following hip surgery, but came back strong to perform incredibly well in 2012. Tommy defeated Roger Federer to win the Halle title, reached the finals of Hamburg and Washington and recorded his 500th match win in Vienna. Congratulations!
 
10-18-2012 | Tommy joins 500 wins club!
Tommy reached his 500th match win when he dismissed Jesse Levine in two sets at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna. Tommy joins tennis legends Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Lleyton Hewitt as the only active players to attain the milestone. Congratulations.
 
Shanghai Rolex Masters
At the Rolex Masters in Shanghai Tommy lost his quarterfinal against number 2 in the world Novak Djokovic but can look back at a great tournament. Before loosing to Djokovic Tommy dismissed with Nicolas Almagro and Janko Tipsarevic two top-ten players. Now he is heading to Vienna to play the Erste Bank Open.
 
Is 30 the new 20 in tennis?
Tommy Haas is part of the club of tennis players still going strong in their 30s - and he's playing his best in years.

After the great success throughout the year, Tommy started with great ambitions in the last Grand Slam tournament of the year. At the beginning all went well and Tommy led 2:0 in sets against Ernest Gulbis from Latvia. One break ahead in the third set, the game suddently turned and Tommy lost 3:2 at the end. "Thanks guys for all your support and for cheering me up. Of course I´m disappointed but keep going my way. Will try hard to crack the top 20 again."
Citi Open Washington DC
After having missed the title in Hamburg, Tommy made his way to the finals again in Washington. In the semifinal, he beat the number-one  seeded/ranked Mardy Fish in 2 sets. However, he lost the final match to Alexandr Dolgopolov after a big fight in 3 sets. Tommy reached 3  finals in the last 5 tournaments.
